Physical Description: Short for his age due to severe malnutrition growing up making not much bigger than the typical Mobian (as a hybrid he should have been average human height at least or a little shorter). Despite this he's well muscled, having trained with a steady work out regime. His hair is a dark brown and slightly messy, but only jaw-length with a few 'idiot strands' sticking out. Deep, green eyes with a peppering of freckles on his face and other parts of his body. Unlike full blooded Mobian's instead of a decent pelt of fur over his skin, his fur is more like a light sheen of grey 'fuzz' over his skin making him look like a human with a bad case of fuzzy hair all over his body in grey wolf-tones His nose region is slightly elongated mirror that of muzzle of a canine with a sensitive black nose to match. Instead of human ears he has curved wolf ears, and lastly a wolf tail. His teeth are also slightly more in line with a Wolf-Mobian's than a human's. Slightly big hands and a few scars here and there from his life as a child soldier. From the base of his neck to the middle of his back; the spine is exposed, encased in metal and cybernetics with three spike-like protrusions that emerge when he's connecting himself to the Barbatos Exo-Suit. 

Attire: Blue or Black Tank top, with olive drab trousers with a metal knee-guard buckles, boots, and wears an over-sized green green overcoat with the sleeves rolled up. Occasionally wears a black and grey skin-tight long-sized top in the winter months under his coat, with gloves and a worn fur-trapper hat.

Skills: Having spent the majority of his recollected life as a child soldier, Axel knows how to use a variety of weapons as well as operate most vehicles or power loaders. From mine laying to basic saboteur work he can get it done. Just don't ask him to cyber-hack without some assistance. His hand to hand skills are moderate while he excels with primarily in piloting mobile-weapons be they robotic loader suits, or similar make of machines. This skill set is best shown when he's piloting the Barbatos Exo-Frame, a prototype power-suit. Thanks to his Wolf-Mobian heritage his sense of smell allows him to be a good tracker and his hearing is heightened to a good degree.

Tools/Accessories: Often carries a combat knife, simple handgun or blaster (depends on how much ammo for what type he has more of), and a small satchel pouch of tools ranging from lock picks to a grappling gun, hook and wire for said grapple gun.

For the Barbatos; Axel often goes equipped with depending on the mission a salvaged howitzer cannon, auto rifle, a mace with a hidden pile-bunker spear or an Odachi style sword. As long as Axel can find salvage to re-purpose into weapons the Frame's arsenal will always expand.

BM*-Series Exo-Frame Suit: Barbatos (*BM stands for "Brianna Mecha")

Axel's main go-to 'tool' is the BM-Series Exo-Frame code named Barbatos after a demon of a bygone age. Created by Brianna the Lynx after acquiring the Great War Era plans for the Exo-Frame, along with its unique power core, part of its incomplete frame and brain-control system from a raid on one of Robotnik's warehouses. Thanks to it's sturdy and semi-self-sustaining duel power core; powering up the Frame isn't an issue. However the scarcity of materials makes maintaining the Exo-Frame (ammo, replacement parts, propellant fuel etc) difficult so it's often kept in Brianna's lab until it's needed. Due to the use of the neural-spinal interface, its only pilot is Axel. The Frame itself houses a small cockpit  in the chest and abdomen region that a small or mid-sized Mobian can sit in, and once linked to the suit can move it freely with ease by the neural implant alone without the need for large cockpit and complicated hand-use controls.

Capabilities: The Barbatos is mainly a power loader type exo-frame, designed for combat instead of loading heavy objects. Around ten feet tall, the Frame's lithe yet robust design makes it tough yet still capable of great speed. With a built in neural interface that links to the pilot's spinal implants, the Barbatos is capable of Mobian/Human-like movement, and faster-than-speeds and reaction times. With its strength it can carry extra weapons and armor with ease, but at the cost of speed with heavier load outs. Given the limited resources to maintain and repair the Barbatos per sortie, Axel limits his use of the Exo-Frame for missions requiring 'heavy back up'.

Weaknesses: For all his skills, Axel is a flesh and blood Mobian-Human, and thus can easily fall prey to mortal injuries. His illiteracy can sometimes be problematic if he is forced to read files that have words he doesn't know. Also his lack of certain social graces and tact can get him into trouble. Lastly using Barbatos for prolonged combat has its price; the neural connection intensifies the more the pilot deactivates the limiters between the Frame's full potential and the pilot's brain. The resulting 'overloads' can cause neurological damage if allowed to happen. At times he can seem like a death seeker, willing to put himself in utmost danger to fulfill a mission. Also due to his wolf-Mobian heritage high frequency sounds can severely hurt his hearing, as can overwhelming powerful smells screw with his tracking ability.

Barbatos Weaknesses: While sturdy the Exo-Frame is not invincible and is susceptible to damage from heavy ordinance, high explosives and powerful lasers. Even certain super powered individuals could probably do severe damage to the Exo-Suit. While Brianna has hard-wired it to prevent it from being affected by EMP's, it is however affected by magnets.

Character Personality: Due to his life as a child soldier; Axel has been left emotionally stunted. He is capable of it, but they often come off as dulled, or uninterested, and blunt. That doesn't mean he doesn't value his friends and comrades or hold ideals and concepts; he's merely used to fighting for survival and prioritize his purposes elsewhere than social activity. That said he can be warm and friendly, if straight to the point. However he is fiercely loyal to his friends, comrades and the cause against Robotnik. Willing to lay down his life if need be.

 

Back-Story:
Born of a union between a Human and Mobian, Axel has mostly human features save for his nose, ears, tail (and much to his chagrin a knotted penis) and the very light covering of fur over his mostly Human-shaped body. Axel found himself orphaned almost as long as he can remember and the war with Robotnik dominating his life. Picked up by vagabond soldiers he found himself inducted as a child soldier and taught to fight; both as a means of survival and so that the wandering unit had more 'cannon fodder' to throw at the Bots' constantly encroaching further and further out from Robotropolis. Due to the adults being unwilling to teach the kids to read, they were forcable implanted with neural implants which let them 'link up' with vehicles and learn to drive/pilot them via 'instinct and uploaded instructions'. While a few kind souls taught Axel some reading and writing he is 80% illiterate.  Eventually Axel's unit met a 'bad end' with himself the sole survivor. Trading his skills, he went from secret Village to secret Village, Freedom Fighter unit, whoever would take him. His constant wandering ended upon finding Knothole and recalling the Princess of the old Kingdom ran the Knothole Freedom Fighters; offered his services to join the fight. He's still relatively new to Knothole so only a handful know him. Also his mixed-species heritage has on occasion caused him grief, but he doesn't seem to care too much about the occasional species-ism cast his way

i would say his suit is way too powerful for this "meta", we generally go for a more gritty realistic SatAM approach. My thoughts are that he should be focused on his human capabilities on skills more than anything, with the suit coming in very rarely, sparingly, and only in emergency situations. Since it's so powerful it's not something that can be used a lot, so yeah if you agree to those terms this character is fine.

Also, Brianna designed the suit and fixes it up and the weapons etc in her garage. Condition.

I can abide by those terms. My intent was that the Barbatos Frame is saved for really hairy missions due to the lack of resources to maintain it. As for it's power level at most it can tank a few Swatbot squads or give Axel a leg up against a super robot but it's just a Combat-level robot suit with a long life-span power core and capable of fast reflexes and carrying heavy weapons.

None the less that works for me leaving it aside until needed. ^^

Also I can alter the Barbatos backstory that Brianna made it easy peasy. ^^

Yeah it can tank a few swatbot squads, the problem there is no one is meant to have that kind of ability or power in this world. So it's one of those Power Ring situations
 where it's gotta be used sparingly and rarely.

Made tweaks so that Axel is now a wolf-human hybrid and that he has a light covering of fur over his skin but not the same thickness as a normal Mobian. IE; it he looks like a human with wolf ears, an elongated nose/semi-muzzle, tail and fuzzy grey well fuzz-fur over his skin that's very thin.
