Lunch at the Plaza

It’s a nice warm, and sunny spring day at the Central Plaza today. Even though it’s still early spring time within flower beds close to the massive fountain area of the plaza many of the roses have started to grow, and are getting ready to start growing their buds very soon. Many of the vendors have even made sure to set up close to some of the other flower beds that are starting to grow early spring time flowers to try, and make their booths more appealing to the people walking around today. Many of the vendors are nice, and busy today with many people coming out of their homes wanting to enjoy this first day of warm weather after a cold winter.

A white wolf makes his way to the plaza wearing long blue pants that look fairly new, a nice light green t-shirt, and some green and white sneakers that are also pretty new as well. His hair is nicely combed today instead of having it messy like it normally would look like. He would slowly start to look around as he would walk to the fountain, and would find a nice bench to sit down at. Slowly he would look around as he sits there waiting for Tikal to arrive as they were planning to meet at the fountain so that they could have lunch together. Keegan got to the plaza almost half an hour early wanting to make sure that he wouldn’t be late, and make her wait for him.  

As he would wait Keegan would see a vendor selling flowers. Slowly he would start to think, and would stand up to walk over, and buys a nice orange colored rose along with a small box of chocolates. After buying them he would move to sit back on the bench and waits for her to arrive, and would do his best to hide the flower, and chocolates as he plans to give them to her as a gift.

Tikal felt nervous as she made her way to the central plaza in the new dress she tryed on at the anniversary. It was a long green dress fitted with a simple but elegant  leaf patterns over the length of the dress showing a more close to nature style dress then one of a rich noble kind. She had her normal sandals. Around her right arm she had one of her few family's jewels. A gold vine like arm band that wrapped around her arm. She felt beautiful in her new dress but was more accustomed to her normal attire. Never the less she made her way passed the crowed to nearby where Keegan said they would meet.

Looking around a moment she didn't see him at first and stood there wondering if she was in the wrong area. While looking around she could tell that a lot of people where looking at her as she looked around. But as she was looking for Keegan she noticed someone looking right at her in more then just the passing fancy that made her a bit uneasy. She stood there a moment more looking around until she seen Keegan sitting at a bench from behind him waiting for her and she moved towards him. After a moment she walked up behind him and softly touched his shoulder. "Um hi Keegan." She said to him in a loud enough tone to be heard over the many mobians around them.

(Sry for the delay Keegan. Had to do some stuff. I need to head to a nearby store 10min away but ill be back soon to post more.   )

Keegan was waiting at the bench looking around for Tikal hoping she would be around soon. He was about ready to stand up to look around for her better when he felt someone touch his shoulder. He would turn his head and smiles to her than slowly stands up to face her. Slowly he would look her over a bit as he smiles to her seeing her in that dress she tried on at the anniversary. The wolf would slowly bring the rose, and box of chocolates out so that he could give them to her. "HI Tikal... Wow you looks so very beautiful in that dress. Than again your always beautiful." Would say to her.

 

He would look up a bit more as he would see the person looking at her as if the guy is trying to undress her with his eyes. Keegan would move around the bench, and smiles as he would move to walk around to block the guys view of her. Keegan isn't planing to start any kind of fight, but he can tell she is nervous a bit and doesn't want someone to make her feel even more so. "So what would you like to eat? "

She immediately blushed when he slowly showed her the orange rose and box of chocolates and complemented her on her new dress she was wearing. She took a moment to smell the rose he gave her. It smelled sweet and divine to her. "Thank you for the gifts and nice compliment Keegan. The rose is beautiful." She said smiling and watched him move to another side of the bench. When he asked her where she wanted to go for lunch she looked around a moment before commenting.

"Um i'm not sure. I usually make my own meal's so i haven't really taken the time to visit any of the restaurants around hear. But maybe some place nice without a decent meal and something not to heavy?" She said hinting to any place with a filling meal but low diet wise. She said and brushed her hair back.

He would smile as he would see her blush once more always finding it so very cute on her. Nodding his head as he listens to her. "Your more than welcome Tikal. Though I think you are far more lovely than the rose is." Says to her as he would start to think now as she talked him what she would like to eat. He knows of a few good places that have really tasty low diet wise food. After a few moments he would smile to her once more.

 

"Eating out is pretty fun. I know of a nice place not to far away that serves very tasty foods. Many of their foods aren't to heavy as well, and they serve italian style of food to. Though for desert I hope you don't mind me making some ice cream or frozen yogurt for you." would say to her as he would wait to see what she says about that. And ready to start walking her there as well.

"You know you strike me as quite the charming rouge Keegan. Though a bit more neat and tidy looking."  She told him complementing him back. She nodded her head. "Sounds like a nice place to go Keegan. I haven't had Italian food before." She breathed in then out to help calm herself a bit before offering her hand to him to escort her. She wasn't to sure how things where in this day and age but she learned some from what shes seen from other couple and mobians together under these situations. 

"And id love to come with you for some ice cream." she said smiling.

He would laugh a bit about the charming rouge comment and nods his head to her as he smiles. "Thank you for that Tikal. you know I could try and look the part of a charming rouge later if you like." says to her and would move to take her hand as she would offer it to him. slowly he would lase his fingers with hers as he would start to walk her to the resturant. As they walk his eyes would mostly stay on her though he would look around a bit to make sure they are walking the right way.

 

"Alright I well look forward to making the ice cream for you as well than."

When he took her hand she noted that it was soft yet firm and was taken back a bit when he lased his hand with hers. She laughed. "Maybe another time." She said and walked with him and looked around the plaza. She noticed he was keeping a close eye on her but she didn't want him to know that she knew he was and played things out normally. Inside she felt embarrassed a bit that should was blushing so easily to his comments and said to herself in her mind that she'll try to hold back her nervous side more.

Walking with him she looked his way to ask him. "I do to. I haven't seen how ice cream was made before." She said curiously. "What kind of flavors do you have?"

As she would ask him her question he nods his head to her once more. "I have many different flavors that I made at the ice cream parlor I run. You name the flavor and I well make it for you.. Also truth be told I do make ice cream a bit differently than most do, but still pretty much doing the same thing." Says to her as he is enjoy walking with her like this. Would see some kids running around playing as they walk.  It's nice to see them out and about now. Would than look back to Tikal and smiles to her once more.

 

He would see a vendor selling cute little key chains and smiles a bit. "Oh those are nice. Is there any that you like that the vendor has?"

She was intrigued by what he said on the many kinds of flavors he said he could make her. Though she hasn't really had the chance to try some ice cream. None the less she was interested. She looked at him when he mentioned making ice cream differently then other mobians do. "You make yours differently?" She asked him and noticed he was looking at something and looked in the same direction seeing kids running and playing. It made her smile to to see them playing and made her think about her life a little. He mentioned another vendor and looked to see what it was. "Hmm? Key chains?" She looked over what the vendor had.

What the vendor had was impressive but all so funny in some ways with the designs of some of them shown. She took a moment picking a few of them up to look at. "This ones nice." She said then set it down looking over them once more. One of them caught her attention. A silver one with carefully crafted deep green gem leaf as the main base of it. She picked it up and showed it to him. "Its beautiful." She said with a bright smile.

Keegan would nods his head to her as she would ask him that he made his ice cream differently, and nods his head to her about that. "Yes normally you need a machine to make the ice cream. How ever I make mine totally by hand." says to her before looking at the key chain that she picked up. With a smile he nods his head to her and looks over to the vendor as he would buy the key chain for her seeing as she likes it so much. After he would pay for it he looks into her beautiful eyes once more. "There you go it's now all yours." Once she was ready he would start to walk her once more.

 

It wouldn't take them overly long before they would reach the resturant after they walked through the plaza. In fact it was pretty much right across from it. The inside smelled of fresh herbs, breads and all other kinds of nice smelling things. Would nod his head to the host asking to be seated by a window. The table that they were taken to was a nice round table with a candle in the center.

She was happy that he bought her the key chain and gave him a hug. "Thank you Keegan. Its lovely." She said and stepped back from him and attached it to a band around her hip on the dress.  She followed him to the restaurant with her hand in his. She could smell the fresh herbs and breads cooking. It made her smile since it reminded her of her family's cooking. "Oh it smells nice hear. My family used to use herbs and spices for our cooking." She followed him to the table the host lead them to and took a seat.

 

She was impressed with the quality of service the restaurant offered them.  "Sooo....is it just you that owns your ice cream shop? I mean making it by hand must take some time to do." Asked interested in learning more about him.

He would smile as she gives him a hug and would even give her a hug back until she would step back to out it onto the band around her hips. Would than look her over once more to see how it would look on her. "It goes well with your dress. And your welcome" He would say to her, and nods his head about the comment about how her family would use herbs, and spices for their cooking. "This style of food is known for using fresh herbs, and spices for their cooking. I wouldn't mind trying some of your family's style of cooking sometime." He says to her wanting to learn more about her as well.

 

After the waitress wold pour them some water he would say. "Yes I am the owner of my ice cream shop. It dose often take some time to make ice cream. Most use a machine to get it cold and turn the cream into ice cream. There are other ways like using rock salt and water... Here let me show you how I do it." After he would say that he would lift up his left hand. Soon a blue aura would start to appire around his hand. Slowly he would move to touch his glass of water with that hand. The water would start to get colder, and colder until it would start to freeze turning into ice. Though he would stop part way through so that he didn't freeze the water all the way and slides it over to her. That blue aura around his hand would start to fade away.

 

"That is how I can make ice cream with out a machine, or both water and rock salt."

Smiling she nodded. "Id like that but you will have to wait awhile. Since i moved to the city i haven't had much time to work on my kitchen much less my herbs. So all i can make right now is something simple." She said but her interest perked up when he mentioned how it was made but was confused at first when he mention showing her. "Hmm?" She looked at him with interest and surprise when his hand started to glow with a blue aura. She put her hand up to her chin in surprise and watched as he chilled the glass of water. After showing her she wasn't surprised. Actually quite the opposite. "I see. So that's how you make your ice cream." She said smiling and touched the glass feeling how cool it was.

She felt something different about him when they meet but this affirmed her of what she felt. He was a ice user like she was. She reached over and touched his hand a moment then pulled her hand back. "Keegan since i meet you i had a feeling you where a ice user. And i knew this because.....well." She reached over to the other glass touching it and with a lighter color aura then his the glass of water did the same as with the one he touched. Becoming ice cold water. She looked at him then closed her eyes smiling cutely to him.

 

( Todays my studying day but ill replay when i can.   )

Smiling back to her he nods his head. "I would not mind helping you get settled here in the city. I am happy that you moved here, and that I got to meet you." Nods once more as she commenting about the ice cream. After she touched his hand and started to do the same thing to the glass of water that he did he would tilt his head to the side and smiles. "Wow... You are the first ice user I have meet other than myself. In fact I am the only person in my family that can do this... Though I well tell you know that I can only freeze what I can touch." Letting her know the limit of his power.

 

He did start to wonder if one of the reasons he is so attracted to her is because she is a ice user as well. Though he also finds her to be the most beautiful woman that he has met, and enjoys her personality as well. "When did you move into the city? Oh and what do you enjoy doing for fun?"

 

"That is cool take your time. I was in collage for computer programming and know all about the need to do homework. I well be heading back to collage soon my self.)

She blushed looking down at her glass. "Thanks but ill be all right. I have my friend Sophia helping me to settle in at the moment. And i don't really use mine a lot either. Back then my powers where more for self defense then every day use. So i'm not very good with freezing things yet or to the right amount i should say." She said holding the glass up but was all so hiding something. "Lest i can do this much." She said and laughed. She listen to him talk about her being the only other ice user hes meet so far and that made her think on some things before commenting back.

"Its strange but not surprising given the circumstances." She said taking a sip of water then looked out the window then to him when he asked her about when she moved into the city. "All most two weeks ago now. But not an easy two weeks. There where money issues i had to take care of. But on occasion i do like to get out of the city to see how things are or simply go to the park and watch the children playing. What about you?"

He would see her blush and smiles to her. "It's good to hear that you have your friend Sophia helping you with settling in. If I can help you in any way just let me know. Would like to make sure your settling goes well. Oh and welcome to the city as well."  He said as he watches her holding that glass. "Oh I am sure in time you can do more. But only if you want to." says before he would laugh with her and nods his head hearing what she enjoyes doing.

 

" I haven't been outside of the city before. How about we go do that together sometime? It might be kind of fun. I also enjoy going to the park and watching children play. My ice cream shop is pretty close to the park so it makes it easy for me to do that on breaks... I some times even bring free ice cream with me to give to the kids." Which he dose do that as well and smiles as he enjoys seeing others smile as they enjoy the ice cream.

Smiling she takes a menu and opens it. She looks at him. "Thanks Keegan. Its nice knowing i have some muscle around." She playfully jester'ed to him flexing her arm. "But really i appreciate it." She listened to him talk about not having been outside the city before and about his stand near the park. Her smile grew when he mentioned bring free ice cream to the kids at the park. She thought it was cute and kind of him doing so. "Id like to but im not sure if we can go outside of the actual city its self. But i do know its just as dangerous as ever out there. But going to the park would be nice. So we can go to your stand then to the park." She said and started skimming through the menu pages.

"Hmm this looks good Keegan." She said to him showing him a italian sub sandwich. "I think ill get that."

Picking up his menu he would look over to her as well than laughs with her playful jest. "That is good to hear Tikal, and your welcome." Nods his head as she talks about going outside of the city which is true would be hard to do that right now. He listens to her as he looks through the menu. The waitress would come by and places a basket of freshly made garlic, and herb bread sticks and gets ready to take their orders. Keegan smiles as he would see the sub sandwich that Tikal wanted. " We are ready to order I think. Looks like Tikal would like the italian sub sandwich. I would like some risotto please. Is there anything you would like to drink Tikal?" He would ask her, and smiles to her once more

 

"Oh I am in a building, and not really a stand for the ice cream... Truth is I have a problem with heat, and when it gets to hot I start to feel sick." Would let her know about that little weakness of his.

By now Tikal was feeling relaxed being around him. He was a nice guy. Calm, cool and collected. When the waitress came with the garlic bread she smiled. She could smell how fresh it was and was looking forward to testing it. She handed the waitress her menu after Keegane took her order and hers. "Id like some herbal tea please." She said when he asked what she would like to drink. After that she took one of the bread sticks and a napkin using the napkin to pic it up so her hand would stay clean. She dipped it into the red sauce they offered with the bead in the basket the tryed it. "Mmm freshly made." She said to him enjoying the taste of it.

After a moment she set it down on her napkin and asked.  "I see. I don't really have any issues with the heat since my family used to live outside a lot but regardless of living outside i'm not very psychically strong." She said to him waving her hand to him. "And because of that my family thought it was best that i learned to use my ice powers effectively should i need to defend myself." She said and picked up her bread stick again. "What was your family like?" she asked before taking another bite of her bread stick.

He would smile as she takes some of the bread and tries some of it, and he would do the same as he dips it into the red sauce he looks to the waitress once more. "I would like some limeade if you place as well." The waitress smiles as she walks off with the order in hand to go get the food made. Would than try some of the bread as he listens to her nodding his head slowly as he smiles liking how she talks about her family, and powers. "Being out side a lot isn't the problem with me though sadly. I am able to walk around in the dead of winter with just shorts and sandles on and feel comfortable. Cold doesn't really bother me, just the heat." Than would laugh as he enjoys the taste of the bread.

 

He would set it down as he would Nod once more to her. "Sounds like you are close to your family. As for my family my father is a well known karate master, and has his own dojo close to my ice cream shop. He started to train me when I was 4 years old, and by the time I got into high school I was a second degree black belt. Father likes to spar with me often, and I have not yet won a match." The wolf would laugh about that as he looks to her eyes, and than lets out a bit of a sigh. "My mother was a great chef, and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was very lovely, and caring. She was the person that got me into making Ice cream... Though sadly she was murdered when I was 10 years old, by a man trying to escape the police." He looks pretty sad when he thinks about it, and would move to eat his bread some more.

She listened to him talk about being comfortable in winter and found it even interesting that he could be outside in shorts and sandles even.  She sat there watching him as he described his family. His father a karate master owning a dojo nearby his shop. She listened to him intrigued by how his family was and how well trained he was and that he was a second degree black belt. She knew some defensive moves but her hers where in use with her ice powers. But when he talked about his mothers passing she frowned sad and could see he was to. Softly she reached out to him putting her soft hand on his.

"I lost my family a long time ago Keegan. But you still have your father with you and your mom is all ways with you." She said softly to him doing her best to comfort him.

( Hey man hears whats going on. My familys up from Iowa. My bro and his family. I'm on uncle duty while there out and tomorrow i have to go for a long drive over to my sisters to talk with her on collage stuff and see her family. Ill be home late tomorrow. )

He would feel her hand on his than looks back up to her as he listens once more. Smiles to her as he nods his head. "Thank you. I know I still have my father, and I care for him greatly. Though I well always miss my mother... I am sorry to hear that you lost your family" would move to pat her hand with his other one as he looks into her eyes once more. He finds looking into her eyes very relaxing, and could easily look at them for a long time. Though the waitress would come back with the drinks and sets them down. He nods his head to her "Thank you very much... You know Tikal I am having fun, and I hope you are to."

She was happy that she could help him to feel better and nodded. She was at the very lest sure that having something in common with his loss would help him and let him know that he wasn't alone. But Tikal wasn't telling him the full truth about herself yet. It was to soon for that. For now she was content with how things where now and smiled when he put his hand on hers. She thanked the waitress to. "Yes thank you." She said smiling to her. She then reached over for her tea holding and breathing in the lovely scents the herbs gave off a moment then took a drink before responding. "I am to Keegan. It's a lovely place to talk to each other." She looked down at her tea and took a drink.

"Mmm there's something about tea that can sooth your troubles away."  She said and set her cup down and looked slightly to the side seeing some kids outside playing kick ball in the streets.

(Finally back and in my chair. Kids are outside playing so i finally have some time to relax. )

He smiles back to her as she did help him feel better about what happened. Picking up his limeade he would start to take a drink of it enjoying it's flavor as he looks to her eyes once more. As he would set it down he would say to her. "This is one of the better places that I have found." When she would start to talk about her tea he nods to her once more. "I often have the tea here as well. The tea is their own blend making it much different from most teas you can get." Says as he would take another sip of his tea.

 

"Have you been to the amusement park yet Tikal? "  He asked her, so that he could get an idea of where to maybe take her out to it.

 

(Sorry touch so long to post.. a board fell on my head durning the weekend and wasn't able to fouces very well until now.)
